Heartwarming Journey: Young Graduate Triumphs in LET Despite Challenges

Zamboanga City, December 25, 2025 — Christian M. Banquerigo, a recent graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, has passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET), sharing a heartfelt story of perseverance, faith, and mentorship.

In a long post shared on Carl E. Balita’s Facebook page, Banquerigo recounted that after graduating last May, he did not plan to take the board exam this year.

However, with encouragement from mentors Ate Bern Nuevo and Ate Genieve Nuevo, he decided to pursue the exam despite feeling unprepared financially and academically.

During the three-month review, Banquerigo balanced his BBQ business, tutoring, and studying. He admitted facing moments of self-doubt but credited his success to prayers, family support, and guidance from mentors.

He also thanked his review center classmates and other mentors, including Auntie Cath Mallari and Ate Michelle Delos Reyes Nuñal, for their help.

“God never left me; He provided the wisdom and strength I needed to pass the exam, not just for myself, but for my family and for those who believed in me,” Banquerigo said in his post.

Banquerigo’s achievement marks a proud milestone for his family and community, highlighting the impact of perseverance, faith, and support in realizing one’s dreams.
