TV5 and ABS-CBN Corporation are set to strengthen their broadcast partnership with more collaborative projects across free-to-air television and digital streaming platforms.
According to Zaballero, audiences can expect more TV5-produced programs to air on ABS-CBN platforms, while additional ABS-CBN content will also be shown on TV5 as both companies continue to expand their collaboration.
One of the first projects under the enhanced partnership is the afternoon airing of the TV5 series "My Bespren Emman: Book 2" on ABS-CBN.
"Actually, malapit na rin that we're going to have some shows on ABS-CBN also sa hapon. July 27, My Bespren Emman, Book 2 na siya," Zaballero said.
He added that the program will air at 2:30 p.m., following "Eat Bulaga!" on TV5 and "It's Showtime" on ABS-CBN.
"So, sa hapon at 2:30 after Eat Bulaga! and after It's Showtime, lalabas ang Emman sa ABS-CBN as well," he explained.
Zaballero also expressed optimism about the possibility of talents from TV5's talent management arm, Star Worx, appearing in ABS-CBN productions. He revealed that he has already discussed the idea with ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, although any final decision would rest with the Kapamilya network.
"Sana. Sana. Nag-usap na kami ni Tita Cory and sana, we can work something out," Zaballero said.
When asked about speculation that MediaQuest Holdings Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan and San Miguel Corporation President and CEO Ramon S. Ang could serve as "white knight" investors for ABS-CBN, Zaballero declined to comment on the rumors.
He clarified, however, that Ang's recent appearance with Pangilinan on TV5's music countdown program "Vibe+" was simply part of the latter's birthday celebration.
"Kasi, siyempre birthday celebration ni MVP," Zaballero said.
