After 34 attemps since 1999, Teacher Jorge Passed the LET

After 25 long years, 47-year-old Jorge B. Alejo finally reached the goal he had pursued since 1999—passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

Reports say his success came on his 34th attempt (others note 33), but the takeaway is clear: he never gave up, no matter how many times he stumbled.

Based on a Brigada report, Alejo first took the LET in 1999 and faced repeated disappointments over the years. Despite financial constraints and personal challenges, he kept returning—propelled by a dream he refused to abandon.

In a Facebook post dated May 28, Alejo expressed deep gratitude and shared the faith that sustained him through decades of trying. He revealed that he passed after taking the exam dozens of times—without enrolling in a review center—relying instead on perseverance and belief.

Now licensed, Alejo plans to apply to the Department of Education and finally pursue the teaching career he has long fought for.

His message to recent examinees is straightforward and inspiring: don’t lose hope—keep trying, keep believing, and keep moving forward.
