VP Sara Duterte on the Feast of the Black Nazarene

Vice President Sara Duterte underscored the deep and enduring faith of Filipinos as devotees commemorated the Feast of the Black Nazarene on Friday, January 9.

In a statement, she said that the long-standing devotion to the Black Nazarene reflects the core values embodied by Jesus Christ, particularly love, sacrifice, and humility.

Duterte said.

She also reflected on the annual expressions of faith seen during the celebration, noting how both physical and spiritual sacrifices of devotees strengthen their religious conviction.

The Feast of the Black Nazarene remains one of the most significant religious events in the Philippines, drawing millions of devotees who seek healing, blessings, and spiritual renewal.
