Noontime television icons Vice Ganda and Vic Sotto have expressed their openness to appearing on each other's rival programs as they prepare for their first-ever movie collaboration.
Vice Ganda serves as a main host and creative consultant of ABS-CBN's It's Showtime, while Sotto—popularly known as "Bossing"—is a main host and co-producer of TV5's long-running noontime program Eat… Bulaga!
The comedy superstars recently confirmed that their film, The Greatest Showdown, is among the first four official entries to the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Asked by the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) about the possibility of guesting on each other's shows to promote the movie, Vice Ganda welcomed the idea.
"Let's see kung papayagan tayo," Vice said.
He added:
"But would love to. Sa noontime audiences, para sa Madlang People at sa mga Dabarkads. Kung ano ang ikaliligaya nila, we would love to be doing that for them."
Sotto echoed the sentiment, suggesting that a television crossover could happen.
"Malalaman niyo! Darating tayo run," he said.
Looking back on the long-running competition between their respective noontime programs, Sotto emphasized that there has never been personal animosity between them.
"Never naman kami nagkalaban. Nagkatapat lang. Pero never nagkalaban. Isa lang naman ang gusto namin. Mag-entertain ng tao," Sotto said.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Jun Robles Lana, The Greatest Showdown is a major co-production of ABS-CBN Studios, Star Cinema, The IdeaFirst Company, M-Zet Productions, and APT Entertainment. The film is scheduled to premiere in cinemas nationwide on December 25 as part of the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival.
