President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the commemoration of the 129th anniversary of the heroism and martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal at the Rizal National Monument in Manila.
The anniversary rites began with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by a wreath-laying at the center of the monument to honor the national hero’s sacrifice for the country.
Joining the President were First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and their sons Joseph Simon, William Vincent, and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos.
