The Civil Service Commission (CSC) administered the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) on March 2, 2025, across 95 testing centers nationwide. A total of 318,973 examinees participated, with 287,254 taking the Professional level and 31,719 the Subprofessional level.
📅 Release of Results
The CSC has announced that the official results for both Professional and Subprofessional levels will be released on or before May 2, 2025. This timeline aligns with the CSC's protocol of releasing results within 69 days after the examination, accounting for the number of examinees exceeding 300,000. The additional days are calculated at one day for every 5,000 examinees beyond the 300,000 threshold.

Both examination levels assessed the following competencies:
Professional Level:
Numerical Ability: Basic operations and word problems.
Analytical Ability: Word association, identifying assumptions and conclusions, logic, and data interpretation.
Verbal Ability: Grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, and reading comprehension.
Subprofessional Level:
Numerical Ability: Basic operations and word problems.
Clerical Ability: Filing and spelling.
Verbal Ability: Grammar and correct usage, vocabulary, paragraph organization, and reading comprehension.
Additionally, both levels included general information on the Philippine Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), peace and human rights issues and concepts, and environmental management and protection.
⏱️ Exam Format
Professional Level: 170 items to be completed in 3 hours and 10 minutes.
Subprofessional Level: 165 items to be completed in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
A general rating of at least 80.00% is required to pass the examination.
📄 Verification of Ratings and Certification
Examinees can verify their individual test results through the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS) on the CSC website. The availability of OCSERGS is expected by May 17, 2025, but this may be adjusted depending on administrative considerations.
Successful candidates may request a Certification of Eligibility (COE) printed on CSC official letterhead, free of charge, from the CSC Regional or Field Office where the exam was taken. Alternatively, a COE printed on security paper can be obtained for a fee from any of the 16 CSC Regional Offices nationwide. Applicants are advised to verify the availability of their COE before visiting the CSC office and to bring valid identification and the application receipt.
